I would do just about anything to avoid listening to the sound of my own voice. Articles have been circulating around social media lately about misophonia, the fear of certain noises, and I'm certain my fear is listening to myself talk.

Today, I faced my fear and listened to the New Chief Communications Officer podcast from the Arthur W. Page Society, which ran a special episode with me and my grad school colleagues Karina Peterson and Maddie Tew. Together, we won the organization's nationwide case study competition for our case on Delta's communication strategy around mask enforcement.

Following our conversation with The New CCO podcast host Eliot Mizrachi, the vice president of communications and thought leadership for the Arthur W. Page Society, two senior communications leaders with Delta joined the conversation. They shared their reaction to our case, offered insights into the decision-making process at Delta at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and shared how they use measurement to fine-tune every communications touchpoint.

You can listen to the episode here.
